Three-Particle Correlations from Strong Partonic Cascade in the AMPT model

چکیده
We present a study of three-particle correlations among a trigger particle and associated scattering particles in Au + Au collisions at √ sNN = 200 GeV in the framework of a multi-phase transport model (AMPT) with both partonic and hadronic interactions. It was found that threeparticle correlation densities in different angular directions with respect to the triggered particle (‘center’, ‘cone’, ‘deflected’, ‘near’ and ‘near-away’) increase with number of participants. The density ratios of ‘deflected’/‘cone’ approaches to 1.0 with the increasing of number of participants, which indicates a partonic Mach-like shock wave can be produced by strong parton cascade in central Au+Au collisions.

Di-hadron and Tri-hadron correlation and Mach-like cone structure in AMPT model
In a framework of a multi-phase transport model with both partonic and hadronic interactions, azimuthal correlations between trigger particles and associated scattering particles in Au + Au collisions at √ sNN = 200 GeV/c have been studied by the mixing-event technique. The Mach-like structure has been observed in correlation function for central collisions. It is shown that the Mach-like struc...

متن کاملRapidity bin multiplicity correlations from a multi-phase transport model
The central-arbitrary bin and forward-backward bin multiplicity correlation patterns for Au+Au collisions at √ sNN= 7.7 − 62.4 GeV are investigated within a multi-phase transport (AMPT) model. An interesting observation is that for √ sNN < 19.6 GeV Au+Au collisions, these two correlation patterns both have an increase with the pseudorapidity gap, while for √ sNN > 19.6 GeV Au+Au collisions, the...

Using a multiphase transport model ~AMPT!, which includes both initial partonic and final hadronic interactions, we study the rapidity distributions of charged particles such as protons, antiprotons, pions, and kaons in heavy ion collisions at RHIC. The theoretical results for the total charged particle multiplicity at midrapidity are consistent with those measured by the PHOBOS Collaboration i...
